U10 Program

Fall 2023 u10 Schedule

 

AGP (Age Group Practice) will be held on Thursday nights.

8/24, 8/31, 9/7, 9/14, 9/21, 9/28

 

One team practice will be held on a night selected by the team's coach.

 

Games will start the weekend of September 9th and be held on a different day/time each weekend.  SEPA will issue the schedule around Labor Day.

The WSC u10 and older divisions are part of the South Eastern PA Recreational League (SEPA). A link to SEPA is at the bottom of this informational page. 

u10 Training 

Age Group Practices (AGP's)
Once a week every player in the u10 program is invited to an AGP led by our DOC and professional trainers, assisted by the u10 team coaches. At these sessions team coaches will receive activity ideas that they can replicate in the more personalized individual team practices.  

Individual Team Practices
In addition to the AGP the u10 team coaches also run their own individual team practice once a week on a separate night to the AGP. This allows a coach to get to know their team players and parents and to establish a positive rapport with their own team.  

Objectives of AGP's

·Provide FUN training sessions for the players

·Interaction of all players in the age group to foster a positive collective
   environment  

·All team coaches interact for the benefit of all players in the program, also
   to encourage mutual support of each other during u8 games

·Provide activity ideas for coaches to use at their individual team practice

u10 Games

The u10 game schedule is created through SEPA the link is at the bottom of this page. 

The u10 league plays 7v7 games, including the goalkeeper. It is a big jump from the u8 4v4 program as in addition to adding a goalkeeper players also start to learn positional responsibilities. The objectives of the individual team practice should be to teach positional play and have the players begin to learn team formations.
